UNS C63000 Aluminium Bronze Flanges Manufacturer & Exporter
C63000 is the wrought member of the nickel aluminium bronze family. Where a specification calls for bar, forging or plate rather than a casting, C63000 flanges are machined from sound wrought stock.

Mechanical Properties
Mechanical properties: ksi (MPa)
SM-MECH-C63000| Condition / specification | Tensile, min | Yield, min | Elongation, min % |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tensile strength, minimum — range across B150 tempers and sizes | ≈80 – 110 (≈550 – 760) | – | – |
| 0.5 % yield strength, minimum — range across B150 tempers and sizes | – | ≈40 – 69 (≈275 – 475) | – |
| Elongation | – | – | Set per temper and size in ASTM B150 |
C63000 strength is not a single number: ASTM B150 sets minimums per temper (HR50, M10, M20, M30, O20, O25, O30, O32, TQ30, TQ50, TQ55) and section size, and forgings under ASTM B124 / B283 carry their own requirements. Quote the specification, temper and size on the RFQ and we will confirm the applicable minimums.

Corrosion Characteristics and Service
C63000 shares the aluminium-nickel-iron chemistry that gives its cast relatives their resistance to seawater, erosion-corrosion and wear, and it offers high strength with good resistance to corrosion fatigue. Wrought processing gives a fine, uniform structure with no casting porosity, which is why it is specified for parts that carry high loads or where a cast structure is not accepted.
Service suitability depends on temper, section and the environment. For seawater service, confirm temper and any heat-treatment requirement in your project specification.
Manufacturing and Machining
Flanges in C63000 are machined from bar or rod, from forged blanks or from plate. Machinability is rated 30 on the CDA scale, so tooling, speed and rigidity are managed carefully; forgeability is rated 75 for blanks hot-worked to shape. Available bar sizes, forging dimensions and plate thickness are confirmed at the RFQ stage.
Because strength changes with temper and section size, the order should state the specification (ASTM B150, B124, B283, B171 or AMS 4640), the temper and the size so that the right product form is sourced. C63000 is the wrought alternative to cast C95500 and C95800 in the same alloy family; it is not a drop-in replacement, and the specification in your drawing governs.
UNS C63000 Flanges and Applications
C63000 flanges suit applications that call for a wrought nickel aluminium bronze: higher-strength marine and offshore parts, flanges machined from forged blanks, heavy blind flanges cut from plate and parts for pumps, valves and landing-gear-type hardware where wrought quality is specified.
Flange types in UNS C63000
SM-FLG-C63000| Flange type | Notes |
|---|---|
| Blind Flanges | Heavy closures cut from plate or bar |
| Plate Flanges | Machined from ASTM B171 plate or bar |
| Lap Joint Flanges | Rotating rings from bar stock |
| Custom / Special Flanges | Drawing-driven parts from wrought stock |
- High-strength marine and offshore flanges
- Parts where wrought quality is specified
- Pump and valve hardware
- Heavy-duty OEM and machinery connections
Inspection and Documentation
Material verification is against UNS C63000 and the product specification (ASTM B150, B124, B283 or B171) with temper and size recorded, and an MTC is issued where required. Dimensional inspection covers OD, thickness, bore, PCD and hole pattern. Hardness, mechanical testing and non-destructive examination are carried out only when stated on the purchase order.

UNS C63000: common questions
Is C63000 cast or wrought?
C63000 is wrought. It is supplied as bar and rod (ASTM B150), forgings (ASTM B124 and B283) and plate (ASTM B171), and flanges are machined from that stock.
What is the strength of C63000?
It depends on temper and section size. ASTM B150 minimum tensile strength ranges from about 80 to 110 ksi (550 to 760 MPa) across tempers. State the specification, temper and size on the RFQ.
When should I specify C63000 instead of cast C95500 or C95800?
When your specification calls for wrought product, such as bar, forging or plate, or where a cast structure is not accepted.
