Custom & Special Bronze Flanges Manufacturer & Exporter
When a standard flange does not fit, we machine to your print. Custom dimensions, non-standard drilling, special bores, thickness and facing, in the bronze or aluminium bronze grade your specification names.
Product Overview
Custom and special flanges are made for OEM equipment, replacement parts for older machinery, marine repairs and project-specific piping. Typical starting points are a customer drawing, an existing part to reverse-engineer, or a project specification that sets dimensions, material and testing. Send the information you have; we confirm what is needed to quote.

What to send with your drawing
- Drawing or print (PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP or IGES) — or a dimensioned sketch or sample part

- Inspection and test requirements, and the documents you need (MTC, dimensional report, test certificates)
- Packing, delivery destination and any shipping documentation requirements
Technical Description
Special flanges are defined by the drawing, not by a flange standard, so the drawing controls dimensions, tolerances, material, marking and inspection. We review the print for manufacturability, confirm the material grade and its specification, and flag any dimension that cannot be held or any callout that conflicts with the alloy’s casting or machining behaviour before production starts.
Construction
- Custom outside diameter, thickness and hub geometry
- Non-standard bolt circle, hole count, slots and tapped holes
- Custom or stepped bore, counterbores and spigots
- Special facing: serrated, grooved, recessed or ring-type gasket seats
- OEM marking, part numbers and traceability tags

Stock form and the governing specification depend on grade and size. Mechanical properties are in the data page for each grade.
Dimensions and Sizes
Everything is drawing-driven. The list below shows what to send with the RFQ. The Class 150 table is a bolt-pattern reference only, for when the custom flange must mate with a standard counter-flange.
Reference bolt pattern: ASME B16.5 Class 150 drilling

Reference only. Metric values are converted from inches. Thickness, hub and facing dimensions are set by the governing flange standard or your drawing, and are not listed here.
Sizes
Sizes are set by the drawing. Include the quantity, since stock form and process (cast, continuous-cast bar, forged bar or plate) depend on size and volume.
Pressure Classes
Pressure rating for a custom flange is a design decision by the equipment or system engineer. We manufacture to the dimensions and material on the drawing and supply the documentation the purchase order lists. We do not assign a rating to a non-standard flange.
Facing Options
Flat face, raised face, serrated, grooved, recessed and ring-type seats can be machined. Provide the gasket type and seat dimensions on the drawing.
Applications
- OEM equipment connections
- Replacement flanges for older machinery
- Marine repairs and refits
- Project-specific piping with non-standard patterns
Manufacturing
The process depends on size, quantity and alloy: machining from cast blanks, continuous-cast bar or cored bar, wrought bar or plate, or forgings. We confirm stock availability and lead-time drivers at the quotation stage rather than promising a standard delivery.
Inspection and Documentation
Inspection follows the drawing and purchase order. This can include dimensional reports, material verification, MTC, hardness, liquid penetrant or radiographic examination and pressure testing, each carried out only when specified. Customer inspection or witness requirements should be stated in the RFQ.
Custom Requirements
This page is for exactly that. Send your drawing, a sample part, or a specification and we will tell you what is needed to quote.
Custom / Special Flanges: common questions
What should I send with a custom flange enquiry?
A drawing or sample, the material grade and specification, the quantity, any class or design conditions, marking requirements, and the inspection and documents you need.
Which drawing formats do you accept?
PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP and IGES files, plus images and ZIP archives, by email to sales@sunflexmetalloy.com.
Do you assign a pressure rating to a custom flange?
No. Pressure rating for a non-standard flange is a design decision for the system engineer. We manufacture to the dimensions and material on the drawing.
